
CrossFit Games 2021 will be taking place in a few weeks and many CrossFit Games participants are very excited. The competition for women
The 2021 Crossfit Games women's competition opened this morning with a swim event. Jonne Koski was the winner in the first race. Tia Clair Toomey Orr was also victorious. Koski took the overall title after she held her lead through the entire competition. Tall and Eramoo Connell were second and third, each. It was the first Games for women, and the women's side hoped to complete the podium.
The women's competition features top-level female athletes. Nine athletes are represented in the field, including a young Australian powerhouse who won last year's competition. Kara Saunders (Australian athlete) finished second in Australia. She was also eleventh worldwide for 2020. Another rising star is Andrea Nisler, who competed in the team division in 2018 and finished third in the United States and fifteenth overall in 2020. In addition to these athletes, the Women's competition will also feature a newcomer to the sport - Icelandan competitor Sara Sigmundsdottir, who won the first place medal in the World Crossfit Games earlier this year.
Pegboard contest
Pegboard was an original feature at Crossfit Games 2021. It was added to Crossfit Games' summer Olympic program alongside double-unders & dumbbell overhead Squats. Toomey-Orr held the record for most Games wins with 30. Sager won Event 11 (for men) and was awarded his third Games win. There were several tie in the contest but Toomey Orr's dominance was too strong to stop him winning.

CrossFit Games is a training program that focuses on 10 general fitness skills. These include strength, flexibility, power and speed as well as cardiovascular endurance. Pegboard competition tests competitors' grip strength, coordination, and speed. A scale is used to determine the strength and coordination of competitors. Cutting system
CrossFit Games will use a cutting system again for individual competitions. While it's not as extreme or drastic as in previous Games, this year is very different. There are 15 events in the competition, so it is possible that 30 athletes will be cut after the eighth or seventh event. The question is: How will CrossFit adjust points after cuts? The scoring system used in 2019 was virtually identical to the 2021 one, so it is probable that this will continue.
This year's CrossFit Games Field includes 236 athletes. This is the largest field in its history. The first six events result in major cuts. The field is now reduced to 75. The top 30 competitors then compete in the sprint couplet to determine which athlete is number ten. From there, the top twenty athletes compete in the six remaining events. Castro's system was criticised by veteran Games participants, who felt that the cuts were too significant.
Reebok equipment
Reebok has announced new sports shoes, clothing, and other equipment for the CrossFit Games. The Nano X1 are the new shoes. They can be used for multiple fitness goals. Although Reebok calls this shoe "the shoe for fitness", it feels more like a training shoe. DuPont’s Kevlar material is used to make the upper of this shoe, which promotes breathability as well as durability. The shoes' responsiveness is enhanced thanks to the RopePro tech and the firm midsole.

CrossFit's contract with Reebok will expire at the end 2020. The Games will no longer have a title sponsor. Reebok has sponsored these Games for over a decade. However, it now appears that the company's involvement in the Games is decreasing. Reebok will no longer sponsor the Games' prize money, but it will continue to manufacture all the athletic apparel and equipment used by athletes, including the Reebok gear.
